ITACA | About us
What's in a name?
Ithaca is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea situated between mainland Greece and Italy. It is the mythological home of Ulysses also known as Odysseus who travelled many miles in his quest for knowledge and wisdom and always returning to his beloved homeland.
It is our intention to create a similar ethos in Itaca... encouraging people of all ages to visit with a desire to increase their knowledge and skills in a homely atmosphere and returning many times!
The Greek island has many Italian influences in its history and this compliments the theme of Itaca... too as we share the premises with an Italian conference and language centre as well as a Bistro.
Read the poem about Ithaca the island, written by C.P. Cavafy.
